Next, we headed over to the Crown Fountain, where Andy met us with lunch from Corner Bakery. Yum! After lunch, we turned AJ loose in the fountain, and he had a blast! Here's a movie from near the end of his merriment, and then pictures of him having fun splashing around.

Meeting "Dada" at Millennium Park
During this fun-packed week, I took AJ to Millennium Park for a morning of FUN! We traveled downtown on the Blue Line train, which AJ always gets a kick out of. This time he was not upset in the glass elevators (he started to cry in each elevator on our last trip!) and we arrived without a hitch. First we visited the Family Fun Tent for a free Wiggleworms concert. I think this was AJ's first live show! He enjoyed the music and was dancing around (bouncing up and down and stamping his feet) and making friends (walking up to other kids and patting them on the shoulder or touching their knees if they are sitting, saying "kneeeeee"). The tent was FULL of a million kids, parents, and strollers, but there was a lot of space and a ton of activities for them all: learn to pot a plant (to take home!), hula hoops and jump-ropes, reading/story corner, make a maraca, make a "shake-bracelet", etc. ALL were free!
Next, we headed over to the Crown Fountain, where Andy met us with lunch from Corner Bakery. Yum! After lunch, we turned AJ loose in the fountain, and he had a blast! Here's a movie from near the end of his merriment, and then pictures of him having fun splashing around.

Hi Kristen,
I was so excited when I saw your newest post this morning because we're coming to Chicago and our hotel is only two blocks from Millenium park! Adolfo just found out he got money to come for a conference so we'll be there for the 4th of July weekend. I'm sure you have lots planned with family, so I understand if you guys are already booked up for the weekend. If not we would love to have a playdate.
I know I've probably said this before, but I love seeing AJ and all of the fun stuff he does on your blog. It would be great to see him in person.
jeni
P.S. Sorry to put all of this in a blog comment, but the email I sent got bounced back.
