Me: What did you do today in Art class?

AJ: I art-classed

AJ: I'm a vampire!

Me: Oh! What do vampires do?

AJ: They help people and stuff.

When I broke my toe and was trying not to cry,

AJ (in a slightly panicked voice): Take a deep breath, Mom! It's going to be a happy day!

The kids' Dr. is Jennifer Berquist but we call her Dr. Jenny. Here's what he asked me yesterday:

AJ: Is Dr. Jenny-Quist my doctor?
