Playdate Fun

This week AJ and I went to a new friend's place for a playdate meetup. This new friend has a son about AJ's age and offered to have some friends over to do an organic planting project/craft project...right up our alley! And the best pert is that they live within walking distance from our place.
Our friend Melanie and her daughter were also there and the kids played pretty nicely together (considering they are all learning to share) and we had a lot of fun. We (OK, I) decorated our terra cotta pot with chalk and foam stickers, and then we went outside and tried to follow directions to plant our sweet pea seeds. It went pretty smoothly, and the pot made it home in tact and got PLENTY of rain the next day, so we'll see if our plants come up soon! If so, I'll post pictures along with our other gardening projects...

After we were done with the plants, the kids loved playing with our new friend's play sink. They were so cute taking turns and working together at the sink!

For a few minutes, I was thinking that we should get one of these, but at the moment we really don't have the space for one on our balcony (since we are planting so many veggies out there this year!). Good thing we have friends with fun stuff like this! :)
